We have hunters that come from all different locations to hunt at World Class. Because of this, there are some facts we want our customers to know about hunting in Ohio.
Because World Class is a family owned private preservation, a hunting license is not required. For a hunter to be eligible for a hunting license in Ohio they must have resided for 6 consecutive months in Ohio. Ohio also requires first time license buyers to complete a hunter education course. Booking a hunting trip with World Class Hunting allows you to forgo all this.
When a deer is killed, the state of Ohio requires the hunter’s name, the date and time of the kill, and the county. The counties in Ohio are designated by the number of deer able to be killed per hunter. Our guides are knowledgeable about the laws and will handle these requirements for you.
Ohio is an excellent place for whitetail hunting. Many of the rules and regulations are no different than any other state. There are common hunting practices we all should know and follow. Make sure you are aware of the laws where you hunt. And we ask our customers to respect the customs of hunting on our preserve. We also ask our customers to keep a code of responsibility when out on the hunting preserve. It’s also important to learn the skills to make a quick kill and not let the deer suffer needlessly.
