Happy Friday everyone and welcome to your daily dose of WCW! As many of you know we have been very busy this week with updates to the website, and the end is near. We are still ironing out the videos and I know they are still dark on the site, but with a little bit of patience I think we will have them fixed on or before Monday.
I know personally some of the updates have been rather hectic and stressful to the point of wanting to just toss them into the trash, but I'm not about to quit. Website updates are similar to hunting at times, just when you think you have missed the boat and are about to give up you realize that you still have a little bit of time left or a last push to reach your goal. The tip below covers a bit about hunting and not quitting and provides some information some of us probably don't know or look over.

| Bucks seek out does weeks after the peak rut. |
|
What a lot of hunters don't realize is bucks constantly seek ready-to-breed does for weeks after the peak rut. Does that aren't bred during the peak will come into estrus about a month later and bucks will be looking for them.
Focus on food because that's where the does will be and that's where the bucks will look for them. If the buck-to-doe ratio is favorable, try rattling. Use a grunt call sparingly, like when you see a buck and need to divert his attention.
Dominant bucks are extremely wary during this time and often nocturnal. Get in your stand an hour before first light or stay in your stand until the last second of shooting hours. |
