Our first hunter of the season arrived Sunday evening and woke up to a very crisp morning. You can tell that the days of summer are slowly giving way to the cool breezes of September. Don’t let the chilly mornings scare you off of a hunt, we’ve got the lodge fire rolling and warming up your seat. We hunted Monday morning until about 10am. With no luck on the morning hunt, we headed inside to grab a bite and enjoy the beautiful day.
We trekked back out into the woods yesterday afternoon to give it another shot; Aaron bagged himself a nice, main frame 8 point with extremely good mass, scoring 154” in velvet.
This weekend should prove to be an exciting one as we’re filming our first TV show of the season and will be having hunters in to take 6 bucks ranging in class from 170-220. We’ve got all of the areas scouted out to make for some great hunting.
